In an abstract, sculptural approach, Marion Stora carves a brutalist base out of a roof beam, from which spring a trouser rail, a coat hanger and a little tray, all held above gouged wooden uprights. A minimalist and slightly surreal piece developed in the Vosges workshops of Benoît de Combret, a contemporary craftsman who combines digital technology with traditional woodworking methods. The fine cords covering the trouser rail, coat hanger and tray were crafted by Passementerie Verrier.
