In the same language of organic lines as the Mona dining table presented in the first, Opening Acts collection – with curved top and offset pebble legs – Ilya desk emanates a quiet strength. The glazed earthenware legs were developed at the Manufacture de Charolles, founded in 1844 in Burgundy. The top, made by Benoît de Combret, is finished in a manner that is both brutalist and sophisticated; solid oak is hand-planed.
